Jim Beyer is an entrepreneur who has successfully started four businesses since 1996. Today most of these companies form the PowerOne family of companies, which provide network and communications solutions to business.

Beyer founded PowerOne Communications, LLC, in January 2002 with the acquisition of assets from an existing telecommunications company. By the fall of that year, Beyer had expanded PowerOne’s telecommunications offerings by adding a full-service Internet company to provide integrated solutions. The company expanded again in April 2004, when Beyer purchased the assets of a personal computer sales and service company. Today, PowerOne is a one-stop solution for business communication needs for small and medium sized businesses in Central Florida.

Beyer launched airPowered, LLC, at the end of 2006, to further round out PowerOne’s range of communications solutions. airPowered is a fixed-base wireless product that provides small and medium businesses with high-speed, business class Internet service through a network of 17 towers located throughout Central Florida.

Prior to forming PowerOne, Beyer co-founded AmericaOne, Inc., in May 1996 and grew the company to be a leading innovator managing automated teller machines (ATM) in the non-bank ATM market. AmericaOne has deployed and contracted management services for hundreds of ATMs in 40 states. In 2001, AmericaOne was selected by the Florida 100 as the 51st fastest growing privately-held company in Florida.

Before embarking on his successful career as an entrepreneur, Beyer was the founder and president of Powerwind Ministries and raised funds in support of the international relief organization World Vision, Inc.

Beyer serves in a number of volunteer and leadership roles within his community. He graduated from the University of Michigan and received his master’s degree from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois.
